wedding vows
2005-10-24 - 2:45 p.m.
I wrote my vows last night (yes, yes, I know, eight months in advance is a little excessive, but whatever), instead of sleeping, because I was having a bout of insomnia and I figured I may as well do something with it. They're a little rough at this point, but anyway, here they are:
Bill, I love you more than words can express, and I only want to share your good times and ease your bad times for all of our lives.
I promise to care for you when you're sick, and to enjoy life with you when you're well.
I promise to help you find your way when you're lost, and to try and keep you on a good path whenever you find one.
I promise to give you as many hugs as you need,
I promise to let you correct me when I'm wrong,
and most of all, I promise to love you, to respect you, to be honest to you, and to hold you first in all my considerations, come what may.
invitations

So, I'm going to start making the invitations in after-school art. I envision them as being written in calligraphy on green or yellow paper with slightly bigger sheets of orangey-pink recycled paper beneath, and there will be a ribbon at the top.

Eleven months! Yay! I wrote up a schedule for the big day (and yet we've got no idea where we're going for the honeymoon). Hah, I'm such a dork! Today, Dear Wife and I are going to go celebrate 13 months of being together. So I should probably go to bed if I want to be awake in the morning. Sigh.
Anniversary woes

My dear wife (that is, Bill) was not in town on our first anniversary. Sadsad. But he did promise to be there on our second (that is, our wedding day). I told him he'd damned well better be, or he'd have a torchlit mob chasing him to the mill. Well, not exactly that second part, though I wish I had, now that I've thought of it. Anyway, c'est la vie.

This is my inaugural entry to my little diary here, wherein I discuss things related to my wedding, which will take place in exactly a year and two days from now, and will leave me with a double-hyphenated name. Yay.
